When to visit Tunisia?

It is always a good idea to try to travel, particularly to Tunisia, not to coincide with the possible masses of visitors (although there will always be far fewer in Tunisia than in Morocco) and therefore we advise you to avoid – if you can – the French school holiday periods (because they are the most numerous foreign tourists) if you want to travel to Tunisia.

We also advise you to take into account that Tunisia has an important domestic tourism from north to south. Therefore, we do not advise you to travel to Tunisia during the month of December, because of the holidays and local festivities in Tunisia.

We also advise against travelling to Tunisia during the month of Ramadan (because many things are closed and the country lives “at idle speed”) which, as you know, changes every year. We will give you the approximate dates for the beginning of Ramadan for the next 2 years (1 March 2025 and 18 February 2026).

Finally, here is a link to find out the temperatures you can expect to find in Tunisia. Going to Tunisia without being able to visit the Sahara desert because of the high summer temperatures is a real shame, therefore we advise you to avoid the summer months from June to September inclusive to go to Tunisia because of the heat – but also because of the higher prices.
